We haven't decorated for Christmas yet.
When we moved into this house in March, we piled all of our boxes of Christmas decorations in the back of the "storage room" (which is the basement bedroom) because we were supposed to be moved into our new house that we're building before Max was born, and therefore, before Christmas.
And now it's December.
Max is 6.5 months old.
The new house is thisclose to being finished, but we'll wait to move until the new year.
And our beautiful pre-lit Christmas tree and boxes of decorations are buried under all of our wedding china and camping gear.
I have managed to pack up the Pack-n-Play that's been in our family room since Max came home from the hospital (it's been our downstairs diaper changing station) to make room for the tree. And I packed up Max's swing that he's been too big for since he was 3 months old. So we're getting ready to decorate.
Victor has promised that he will dig the boxes out this weekend and we'll decorate on Sunday. But I had to do something Christmassy yesterday. We were 4 days into December, for cryin' out loud!
Years ago, before Max was even a glimmer in my eye, I pinned a few pictures of babies playing with Christmas lights in just their diapers. Because...come on. How stinkin' cute, right?!
So yesterday, Max got to play with...and attempt to eat...Christmas lights.
He was all about dem' lights. I was worried that he wouldn't cooperate since he was naked-ish and sitting on the hardwood floor. But he was a naked baby rockstar!
Can't wait to take more cute Christmas pictures with him this year. I've got more ideas. Stay tuned.
Have a wonderful weekend!
SO cute!! What a great idea :) Hoping the house is close to being finished… thinking of you from Charlotte!
